On July 4th, 1776, 56 courageous patriots signed their names to the Declaration of Independence, a bold and heroic statement that signaled the beginning of our nation’s struggle for freedom and still today represents freedom and democracy across the world.
America is truly the “land of the free and the home of the brave.” We are a country of different races, religions, and cultures, yet we all have the freedom to live, work and worship as we please.
Ultimately, there is a price to pay for the liberties that we enjoy each day. We must remember that our freedom is never free; it always comes at a price. As Americans, we should recognize and pay tribute to those honorable men and women in our military that devote themselves to protecting our freedom, at home and abroad.
On Independence Day, take a moment to reflect on the freedom we enjoy in the United States of America and remember those men and women who serve our country in uniform and often make the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.
Happy Independence Day!
